Let's Talk Print & Pattern Mixing!

If you love the look of mixing patterns, but feel uncertain about how to do pattern mixing in your own home, try following these three basic steps. When looking at patterns, try to think in terms of scale: small, medium, and large patterns. These pattern mixes are generally the most appealing to your eye.

Small patterns tend to be small and repetitive such as polka dots. Medium prints are usually striped patterns and repetitive smaller geometric shapes. Large bold florals and larger scale geometric patterns round out the large pattern category.

Both traditional and contemporary design can be enhanced with strategic pattern mixing! Using this easy formula will take the guess work out of pattern mixing. Try it for yourself or let us help you. We offer free design consultations!

Until next time,
